Tune in to Virgina Currents Thursday, January 25th at 8 PM on WCVE|PBS to see VHM Senior Historian, Dr. Charles Sydnor, talk about his time testifying against Nazi War Criminals in the 1980's and 1990's. Dr. Sydnor worked for Office of Special Investigations as an expert witness to legally denaturalize men who had served as SS guards in concentration camps such as John Demjanjuk, aka "Ivan the Terrible," and Jakob Reimer. He will also discuss how being a historian of the Holocaust helps with trial proceedings as an expert witness in cases in the Federal District courts. The Virginia Holocaust Museum has become the repository for all the records and documents Dr. Sydnor collected during his time as an expert witness.
