The Alexander Lebenstein Teacher Education Institute assists educators with their understanding of the Holocaust and genocide. Sessions focus on historical background and pedagogy which link to the Virginia Standards of Learning requirements. TEI is offered in partnership with Longwood University and is funded through generous teacher sponsorships.
Session One: CLOSED
- Week 1 (Online Session): Monday, June 18–Friday, June 22, 2018
- Week 2 (at the VHM): Monday, June 25–Friday, June 29, 2018
Session Two: CLOSED
- Week 1 (Online Session): Monday, July 16–Friday, July 20, 2018
- Week 2 (at the VHM): Monday, July 23–Friday, July 27, 2018
Tuition: $50
This Institute is recommended for middle and high school educators that would like to or currently teach the Holocaust in their classrooms. For your application to be complete, you will need a recommendation from your principal, department head or curriculum specialist, which you can send below. The $50 course fee will be refunded after the completion of the full course.
