Yom HaShoah 2016
Every year the Virginia Holocaust Museum pauses to remember and honor the memory of the Six Million Jews who perished in the Nazi Holocaust. This year the commemoration of Yom Hashoah was held May 1st at the Museum with a ceremony honoring the Survivors of the Holocaust living in our community. This year's featured speaker was New York Times Bestselling Author Dr. Timothy Snyder, Bird White Housum Professor of History at Yale University. His latest book is Black Earth: The Holocaust as History and Warning.
Immediately following the Yom HaShoah service all guests were invited to a reception.
