Lithuanian Torah Scroll

This week, as part of our regular artifact rotation, we swapped out the Lithuanian Torah scroll in our synagogue It is important to limit the amount of light exposed to artifacts in order to protect and preserve them for future generations. Though the Nazis destroyed many Torahs during the Holocaust, this scroll survived mostly unscathed. In 2010 it was brought to the VHM and was repaired and rededicated.
